This five-star hotel commissioned us to refurbish the entire panoramic dry-heat sauna to increase the seating area and enhance its longevity and overall quality. The sauna’s panoramic aspect opens out towards the gardens, with a giant redwood tree providing a striking central focal point. As part of the refurbishment, the whole sauna was re-finished using alder for the walls and aspen for the benching system. The new, high-quality benches were designed to be longer-lasting while complementing the natural character and refined atmosphere of the space.

We manufactured a new aspen benching system designed to align with the existing structure and retain the sense of space created by the panoramic layout. The sauna interior was fully refurbished, with the walls finished in alder and the benches and backrests crafted from aspen. All elements were produced to a high standard, offering improved ergonomics, a cleaner, more refined finish and increased durability suited to a dry-heat environment.

The result is a refreshed interior that complements the seasonal essences, enhances guest comfort and supports the hotel in maintaining a consistent level of quality across its wellness facilities.
